Sweet and Salty Butter Pecan Cookies



These buttery pecan cookies are the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The crunch of pecans and the richness of butterscotch chips come together to make a delectable treat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • Sea salt flakes, for topping

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375F 190C

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and well combined

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined

Fold in the chopped pecans and butterscotch chips, distributing them evenly throughout the dough

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart

Gently press a few sea salt flakes onto the top of each cookie dough mound for a sweet and salty contrast

Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
